Stat. § 1-23-105","heading":"Agreements void unless in writing.","body":"(a) In the following cases every agreement shall be void unless such agreement, or some note or memorandum thereof be in writing, and subscribed by the party to be charged therewith:\n(i) Every agreement that by its terms is not to be performed within one (1) year from the making thereof;\n(ii) Every special promise to answer for the debt, default or miscarriage of another person;\n(iii) Every agreement, promise or undertaking made upon consideration of marriage, except mutual promise to marry;\n(iv) Every special promise by an executor or administrator, to answer any demand out of his own estate;\n(v) Every agreement or contract for the sale of real estate, or the lease thereof, for more than one (1) year;\n(vi) To charge any person upon, or by reason of a representation or assurance concerning the character, conduct, credit, ability, trade or dealings of another, to the intent or purpose that such other may obtain thereby, credit, money or goods.","path":["TITLE 1 - CODE OF CIVIL PROCEDURE","CHAPTER 23 - MISCELLANEOUS CONTRACTS AND ACTIONS; STATUTE OF FRAUDS"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title01.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:31Z","sha256":"f3b0f28f03169ad404b902e2019e606cadd3fa33b784684373f8ccbe142b2070","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-1-23-104","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-1-23-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
