Stat. § 1-42-203","heading":"Self-insurance program board; powers and duties.","body":"(a) The board shall:\n(i) Administer the program;\n(ii) Provide legal services for the defense of claims covered by this act;\n(iii) Procure insurance, including reinsurance, purchase loss prevention, actuarial and other professional services as required by the board;\n(iv) Establish assessments as necessary to operate the program on an actuarially sound basis. Assessments shall be computed to provide for:\n(A) Expenditures authorized under this act; and\n(B) Stabilization charges to develop adequate reserves.\n(v) Apportion and collect assessments from each participating local government;\n(vi) Establish deductibles or retentions as deemed necessary for the efficient operation of the program; and\n(vii) Adopt rules governing the administration of the program.\n(b) The board may deny a local government participation in or may terminate a participant from the program for a failure to pay the assessments required under this act.","path":["TITLE 1 - CODE OF CIVIL PROCEDURE","CHAPTER 42 - LOCAL GOVERNMENT INSURANCE PROGRAM","ARTICLE 2 - LOCAL GOVERNMENT SELF-INSURANCE PROGRAM -"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title01.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:31Z","sha256":"eaa88bb04de3242a11ee15ebbd65ba3dc7106f9f9e46544db4825d2bc2849922","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-1-42-202","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-1-42-204"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
