Stat. § 14-2-807","heading":"Limitation; child having presumed father.","body":"(a) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b) of this section, a proceeding brought by a presumed father, the mother, or another individual to adjudicate the parentage of a child having a presumed father shall be commenced within a reasonable time after obtaining knowledge of relevant facts, but in no event later than five (5) years after the child's birth.\n(b) A proceeding seeking to disprove the father-child relationship between a child and the child's presumed father may be maintained at any time if the court determines that:\n(i) The presumed father and the mother of the child neither cohabited nor engaged in sexual intercourse with each other during the probable time of conception; and\n(ii) The presumed father never openly held out the child as his own.","path":["TITLE 14 - CHILDREN","CHAPTER 2 - PARENTS","ARTICLE 8 - PROCEEDING TO ADJUDICATE PARENTAGE"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title14.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"1d3e8e13a03277f5b35561d0fcdd410acca7cbe8468d4fc2503f1af0f6153dba","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-14-2-806","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-14-2-808"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
