Stat. § 14-2-816","heading":"Temporary order.","body":"(a) In a proceeding under this article, the court shall issue a temporary order for support of a child if the order is appropriate and the individual ordered to pay support is:\n(i) A presumed father of the child;\n(ii) Petitioning to have his paternity adjudicated;\n(iii) Identified as the father through genetic testing under W.S. 14-2-705;\n(iv) An alleged father who has declined to submit to genetic testing;\n(v) Shown by clear and convincing evidence to be the father of the child; or\n(vi) The mother of the child.\n(b) A temporary order may include provisions for custody and visitation as provided by other law of this state.","path":["TITLE 14 - CHILDREN","CHAPTER 2 - PARENTS","ARTICLE 8 - PROCEEDING TO ADJUDICATE PARENTAGE"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title14.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"d48dd2d9768f77306d8425213c4d221bfc851f05df453fc0620cb038b8deb210","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-14-2-815","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-14-2-817"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
