Stat. § 15-9-105","heading":"Workable program; formulation; objectives and provisions thereof.","body":"(a) For the purposes of this chapter a municipality may formulate for itself a workable program for utilizing appropriate private and public resources to:\n(i) Eliminate and prevent the development or spread of slums and urban blight;\n(ii) Encourage needed urban rehabilitation;\n(iii) Provide for the redevelopment of slum and blighted areas; or\n(iv) Undertake any of those activities or other feasible municipal activities as may be suitably employed to achieve the objectives of a workable program.\n(b) A workable program may include provisions for the:\n(i) Prevention of the spread of blight through diligent enforcement of housing, zoning and occupancy controls and standards;\n(ii) Rehabilitation or conservation of slum and blighted areas or portions thereof by:\n(A) Replanning;\n(B) Removing congestion;\n(C) Providing parks, playgrounds and other public improvements;\n(D) Encouraging voluntary rehabilitation; and\n(E) Compelling the repair and rehabilitation of deteriorated or deteriorating structures.\n(iii) Clearance and redevelopment of slum and blighted areas or portions thereof.","path":["TITLE 15 - CITIES AND TOWNS","CHAPTER 9 - URBAN RENEWAL","ARTICLE 1 - URBAN DEVELOPMENT"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title15.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"f59610395ba5d9c1fd499bd1b774dd02c412669ce79d80e38e9f428835bd01ec","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-15-9-104","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-15-9-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
