Stat. § 17-14-401","heading":"Admission of limited partners.","body":"(a) A person becomes a limited partner:\n(i) At the time the limited partnership is formed; or\n(ii) At any later time specified in the records of the limited partnership for becoming a limited partner.\n(b) Repealed by Laws 1995, ch. 45, § 2.\n(c) After the limited partnership is formed, a person may be admitted as an additional limited partner:\n(i) In the case of a person acquiring a partnership interest directly from the limited partnership, upon the compliance with the partnership agreement or, if the partnership agreement does not so provide, upon the written consent of all partners; and\n(ii) In the case of an assignee of a partnership interest of a partner who has the power, as provided in W.S. 17-14-804, to grant the assignee the right to become a limited partner, upon the exercise of that power and compliance with any conditions limiting the grant or exercise of the power.","path":["TITLE 17 - CORPORATIONS, PARTNERSHIPS AND ASSOCIATIONS","CHAPTER 14 - LIMITED PARTNERSHIPS","ARTICLE 4 - LIMITED PARTNERS"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title17.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"664171eff26354fe9342102c6a1221a2ee418c66028dedcb27cfd4626f148b59","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-17-14-309","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-17-14-402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
