Stat. § 2-3-1009","heading":"Disclosure of content of electronic communications of a principal.","body":"(a) To the extent a power of attorney expressly grants an agent authority over the content of electronic communications sent or received by a principal and unless otherwise directed by a court order or the principal as specified in W.S. 2-3-1004, a custodian shall disclose to the agent the content of electronic communications sent or received by the principal if the agent provides the custodian with the following:\n(i) A request for disclosure in written or electronic form;\n(ii) An original or copy of the power of attorney expressly granting the agent authority over the content of electronic communications of the principal;\n(iii) A certification by the agent, under penalty of perjury, that the power of attorney is in effect; and\n(iv) If requested by the custodian:\n(A) A number, username, address or other unique subscriber or account identifier assigned by the custodian to identify the principal's account; or\n(B) Evidence linking the account to the principal.","path":["TITLE 2 - WILLS, DECEDENTS' ESTATES AND PROBATE CODE","CHAPTER 3 - FIDUCIARIES","ARTICLE 10 - UNIFORM FIDUCIARY ACCESS TO DIGITAL ASSETS ACT"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title02.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:31Z","sha256":"058e22a0efa85f4fc19e5c245da9e1512e98f1ffc3cd0c3861736d56bdaed984","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-2-3-1008","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-2-3-1010"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
