Stat. § 20-4-196","heading":"Continuing exclusive jurisdiction to modify spousal support order.","body":"(a) A tribunal of this state issuing a spousal support order consistent with the law of this state has continuing, exclusive jurisdiction to modify the spousal support order throughout the existence of the support obligation.\n(b) A tribunal of this state may not modify a spousal support order issued by a tribunal of another state or a foreign country having continuing, exclusive jurisdiction over that order under the law of that state or foreign country.\n(c) A tribunal of this state that has continuing, exclusive jurisdiction over a spousal support order may serve as:\n(i) An initiating tribunal to request a tribunal of another state to enforce the spousal support order issued in this state; or\n(ii) A responding tribunal to enforce or modify its own spousal support order.","path":["TITLE 20 - DOMESTIC RELATIONS","CHAPTER 4 - UNIFORM INTERSTATE FAMILY SUPPORT ACT","ARTICLE 1 - GENERAL PROVISIONS"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title20.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"1eabdd0fedb58779143832ce9daa2aaac213d816cb25fb5f4cb0bd128f57f651","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-20-4-195","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-20-4-197"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
