Stat. § 20-4-210","heading":"Foreign support agreement.","body":"(a) Except as otherwise provided in subsections (c) and (d) of this section, a tribunal of this state shall recognize and enforce a foreign support agreement registered in this state.\n(b) An application or direct request for recognition and enforcement of a foreign support agreement shall be accompanied by:\n(i) A complete text of the foreign support agreement; and\n(ii) A record stating that the foreign support agreement is enforceable as an order of support in the issuing country.\n(c) A tribunal of this state may vacate the registration of a foreign support agreement only if, acting on its own motion, the tribunal finds that recognition and enforcement would be manifestly incompatible with public policy.\n(d) In a contest of a foreign support agreement, a tribunal of this state may refuse recognition and enforcement of the agreement if it finds:\n(i) Recognition and enforcement of the agreement is manifestly incompatible with public policy;\n(ii) The agreement was obtained by fraud or falsification;\n(iii) The agreement is incompatible with a support order involving the same parties and having the same purpose in this state, another state or a foreign country if the support order is entitled to recognition and enforcement under this act in this state; or\n(iv) The record submitted under subsection (b) of this section lacks authenticity or integrity.\n(e) A proceeding for recognition and enforcement of a foreign support agreement shall be suspended during the pendency of a challenge to or appeal of the agreement before a tribunal of another state or a foreign country.","path":["TITLE 20 - DOMESTIC RELATIONS","CHAPTER 4 - UNIFORM INTERSTATE FAMILY SUPPORT ACT","ARTICLE 2 - SUPPORT PROCEEDINGS UNDER CONVENTION"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title20.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"e22bcf5f63a2d30f0a33ccc7d225761830a5e3106a98ca5a13fb0372cdd1c41f","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-20-4-209","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-20-4-211"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
