Stat. § 20-6-210","heading":"Notice to payor.","body":"(a) The notice to payor shall be prepared and the original notice filed with the clerk. A copy of the notice shall be mailed or served pursuant to W.S. 20-6-203 to the payor and to the obligor. Notice to the payor also may be served by delivering a copy by electronic means if consented to by the payor. Notice to the payor and obligor shall be mailed or served by:\n(i) The court if the income withholding order became effective immediately upon entry;\n(ii) The obligor if the income withholding order becomes effective under W.S. 20-6-205(a)(ii); or\n(iii) The department, acting pursuant to W.S. 20-6-105(a)(ii), or the obligee in all other cases.\n(b) The notice to payor shall state:\n(i) An ascertainable amount to be withheld from the obligor's income to be remitted to the clerk for current support and for arrearages;\n(ii) That the payor may withhold the fee provided by W.S. 20-6-212(c);\n(iii) That the amount actually withheld for support combined with the fee authorized by W.S. 20-6-212(c) shall not exceed the maximum amount authorized by 15 U.S.C. § 1673;\n(A) Repealed By Laws 2007, Ch. 169, § 2.\n(B) Repealed By Laws 2007, Ch. 169, § 2.\n(iv) The payor's rights and duties under W.S. 20-6-212;\n(v) That the withholding under this act has priority over any other legal process under state law against the same income;\n(vi) That the notice to payor is binding upon the payor until further notice is received as provided in accordance with W.S. 20-6-210(a);\n(vii) That the payor is subject to the sanctions of W.S. 20-6-218.\n(c) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the uniform income withholding order and notice to payor is deemed to meet the requirements of this act.\n(d) Withholding payments may be forwarded to a single address provided by the Wyoming department of family services, in accordance with the federal Social Security Act.","path":["TITLE 20 - DOMESTIC RELATIONS","CHAPTER 6 - CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT","ARTICLE 2 - INCOME WITHHOLDING"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title20.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"0b982d471067f13b15e3330246e4ff0eb88b3bc3cd0b67cc4752858cb3589e62","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-20-6-209","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-20-6-211"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
