Stat. § 20-6-214","heading":"Duties of clerk of court.","body":"(a) The clerk shall:\n(i) Maintain records showing receipt and disbursement of all funds received pursuant to this act;\n(ii) Promptly distribute all funds received to the appropriate person or agency;\n(iii) Promptly refund to the obligor any amounts shown to have been improperly withheld which are in the possession and control of the clerk;\n(iv) Promptly notify the obligee upon receipt of information provided to the clerk pursuant to W.S. 20-6-212(e);\n(v) Promptly notify the payor of suspension or termination of the income withholding order when:\n(A) The court has ordered a suspension or termination as provided by W.S. 20-6-216;\n(B) The clerk receives a verified written notice from the obligor or the agency of this or another jurisdiction to which an obligee has assigned his right to support that there is no longer a support obligation and all arrearages have been paid; or\n(C) The location of the obligee is unknown and the clerk has been unable to deliver payments remitted under the income withholding order for a period of ninety (90) days.\n(vi) Use forms specified by the department.\n(b) Repealed by Laws 1988, ch. 26, § 2.\n(c) When there exists more than one (1) current order for support, the clerk shall distribute payments received pursuant to W.S. 20-6-206(b).","path":["TITLE 20 - DOMESTIC RELATIONS","CHAPTER 6 - CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT","ARTICLE 2 - INCOME WITHHOLDING"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title20.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"049ae49f0283976c088bb175c90e88f4d69110d6881a0d1da4fc6c9891240457","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-20-6-213","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-20-6-215"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
