Stat. § 20-8-104","heading":"Actions for abduction prevention measures.","body":"(a) A party to a child custody determination or another person or entity having a right under the law of this state or any other state to seek a child custody determination for the child may file a petition seeking abduction prevention measures to protect the child under this act.\n(b) A prosecutor or public authority designated under W.S. 20-5-415 may seek a warrant to take physical custody of a child under W.S. 20-8-109 or other appropriate prevention measures.\n(c) A court on its own motion or petition under subsection (a) of this section may order abduction prevention measures in a child custody proceeding if the court finds that the evidence establishes a credible risk of abduction of the child.","path":["TITLE 20 - DOMESTIC RELATIONS","CHAPTER 8 - CHILD ABDUCTION PREVENTION"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title20.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"cc309edd7fbfece37405868503534abdb83fa5fd306fd39283d2247f1aceb55f","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-20-8-103","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-20-8-105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
