Stat. § 22-24-323","heading":"Petitions; payment for signatures; misrepresentation of petition; prohibition; penalty.","body":"(a) A circulator of an initiative petition or a person who causes the circulation of an initiative petition may not pay or offer to pay any compensation to another person for that person's signature on the initiative petition.\n(b) A circulator of an initiative petition or a person who causes the circulation of an initiative petition shall not collect another person's signature on the petition by knowingly making a false statement with respect to or otherwise misrepresenting the proposed law contained within the initiative petition.
