Stat. § 23-2-411","heading":"Outfitter qualifications for licensure; licensed outfitter may act as professional guide; required reporting of criminal history.","body":"(a) An applicant for an outfitter's license shall in addition to any other criteria imposed by rule and regulation of the board, possess the following qualifications:\n(i) At least eighteen (18) years of age;\n(ii) Experience as a licensed professional guide for not less than one (1) year or similar experience accepted by the board;\n(iii) Possess through ownership, lease or as a representative of an owner or lessee, equipment and facilities necessary to the type of services the applicant offers and applicable to the area conditions in which the applicant operates;\n(iv) Repealed by Laws 1991, ch. 156, § 2.\n(v) Repealed by Laws 1991, ch. 156, § 2.\n(vi) Have committed no violations of W.S. 23-2-416(a).\n(b) Any person holding an outfitter's license under this act may operate as a professional guide without holding a separate professional guide's license.\n(c) In addition to subsection (a) of this section, an applicant for an outfitter's license shall report:\n(i) Any conviction or forfeiture of any bond amount for a violation of federal or state law or applicable regulation relating to wildlife, game and fish within five (5) years before the date of filing license application;\n(ii) Any felony conviction; and\n(iii) Any conviction for a violation of federal or state law relating to criminal fraud and occurring within five (5) years prior to the date of filing application.","path":["TITLE 23 - GAME AND FISH","CHAPTER 2 - LICENSES; FEES","ARTICLE 4 - GUIDES AND OUTFITTERS"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title23.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"1d3cddc8abb4a338bbaba77d189958df7a41b6107217af3b80e63a1420dac241","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-23-2-410","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-23-2-412"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
