Stat. § 26-29-204","heading":"Definitions.","body":"(a) As used in this chapter:\n(i) \"Benefit contract\" means the agreement for provision of benefits authorized by W.S. 26-29-216, as that agreement is described in W.S. 26-29-219(a);\n(ii) \"Benefit member\" means an adult member who is designated by the laws or rules of the society to be a benefit member under a benefit contract;\n(iii) \"Certificate\" means the document issued as written evidence of the benefit contract;\n(iv) \"Laws\" means the society's articles of incorporation, constitution and bylaws, however designated;\n(v) \"Lodge\" means subordinate member units of the society, known as camps, courts, councils, branches or by any other designations;\n(vi) \"Premiums\" means premiums, rates, dues or other required contributions by whatever name known, which are payable under the certificate;\n(vii) \"Rules\" means all rules, regulations or resolutions adopted by the supreme governing body or board of directors which are intended to have general application to the members of the society;\n(viii) \"Society\" means fraternal benefit society, unless otherwise indicated.","path":["TITLE 26 - INSURANCE CODE","CHAPTER 29 - FRATERNAL BENEFIT SOCIETIES","ARTICLE 2 - SOCIETIES"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title26.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"707476f1125ca9de38206a95febbda3952af444dd75f370d1b93d2e993244bbd","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-26-29-203","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-26-29-205"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
