Stat. § 27-3-312","heading":"Determination of suitable work.","body":"(a) In determining if work is suitable for purposes of W.S. 27-3-311(a), the department shall consider:\n(i) The risk involved to an individual's health, safety and morals;\n(ii) The individual's physical fitness;\n(iii) The length of unemployment of the individual;\n(iv) The prospects for securing local employment in the individual's customary occupation;\n(v) The distance of available employment from the individual's residence; and\n(vi) If the individual is capable of performing the work.\n(b) Notwithstanding any other provision of this act, work is not suitable if:\n(i) It is available because of a strike, lockout or other labor dispute;\n(ii) The wages, hours or other conditions are substantially less favorable for the individual than those prevailing for similar work within the locality; or\n(iii) An individual is required to join a company union or resign from or refrain from joining any bona fide labor organization as a condition for employment.\n(c) Repealed by Laws 1984, ch. 50, § 3.","path":["TITLE 27 - LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT","CHAPTER 3 - UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION","ARTICLE 3 - BENEFITS"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title27.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"a697b442c008fbbc6c63513501e3af1a66e3fb9af4a4b17a3557b476cca03927","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-27-3-311","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-27-3-313"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
