Stat. § 3-9-116","heading":"Judicial relief.","body":"(a) The following persons may petition a court to construe a power of attorney or review the agent's conduct and grant appropriate relief:\n(i) The principal or the agent;\n(ii) A guardian, conservator or other fiduciary acting for the principal;\n(iii) A person authorized to make health care decisions for the principal;\n(iv) The principal's spouse, parent or descendant;\n(v) A person who would qualify as a presumptive heir of the principal;\n(vi) A person named as a beneficiary to receive any property, benefit or contractual right on the principal's death or as a beneficiary of a trust created by or for the principal that has a financial interest in the principal's estate;\n(vii) The principal's caregiver or another person that demonstrates sufficient interest in the principal's welfare;\n(viii) A person asked to accept the power of attorney.\n(b) Upon motion by the principal, the court shall dismiss a petition filed under this section unless the court finds that the principal lacks capacity to revoke the agent's authority or the power of attorney.","path":["TITLE 3 - GUARDIAN AND WARD","CHAPTER 9 - UNIFORM POWER OF ATTORNEY ACT","ARTICLE 1 General provisions"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title03.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:31Z","sha256":"a6eb7b6d3710b31f129ce4f3b7270eebe479434ed9bf1b6337342ab7af6896a7","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-3-9-115","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-3-9-117"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
