Stat. § 3-9-205","heading":"Tangible personal property.","body":"(a) Unless the power of attorney otherwise provides, language in a power of attorney granting general authority with respect to tangible personal property authorizes the agent to:\n(i) Demand, buy, receive, accept as a gift or as security for an extension of credit or otherwise acquire or reject ownership or possession of tangible personal property or an interest in tangible personal property;\n(ii) Sell, exchange, quitclaim, release, surrender, create a security interest in, grant options concerning, lease, sublease, convey with or without covenants, representations or warranties, or otherwise dispose of tangible personal property or an interest in tangible personal property;\n(iii) Grant a security interest in tangible personal property or an interest in tangible personal property as security to borrow money or pay, renew or extend the time of payment of a debt of the principal or a debt guaranteed by the principal;\n(iv) Release, assign, satisfy or enforce by litigation or otherwise a security interest, lien or other claim on behalf of the principal with respect to tangible personal property or an interest in tangible personal property;\n(v) Manage or conserve tangible personal property or an interest in tangible personal property on behalf of the principal, including:\n(A) Insuring against liability, casualty or other loss;\n(B) Obtaining or regaining possession of or protecting the property or interest by litigation or otherwise;\n(C) Paying, assessing, compromising or contesting taxes or assessments or applying for and receiving refunds in connection with taxes or assessments;\n(D) Moving the property from place to place;\n(E) Storing the property for hire or on a gratuitous bailment;\n(F) Using and making repairs, alterations or improvements to the property.\n(vi) Change the form of title of an interest in tangible personal property.","path":["TITLE 3 - GUARDIAN AND WARD","CHAPTER 9 - UNIFORM POWER OF ATTORNEY ACT","ARTICLE 2 - AUTHORITY"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title03.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:31Z","sha256":"4d3a8dafe466861a78a3df0dd1299a508536fa8ec45e9e98ef4853b2103a7c5a","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-3-9-204","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-3-9-206"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
