Stat. § 31-18-204","heading":"Exemptions.","body":"(a) The provisions of W.S. 31-18-203 through 31-18-208 do not apply to mobile machinery:\n(i) Owned by the United States, the state of Wyoming or any political subdivision thereof;\n(ii) Which is an implement of husbandry;\n(iii) Currently registered under W.S. 31-2-201 or 31-18-201;\n(iv) Being transported from a point outside this state through this state or for delivery or repair in this state;\n(v) Held for sale by a person engaged in the business of selling mobile machinery;\n(vi) Used in the extraction or production of bentonite, coal, trona or uranium and owned by the producer;\n(vii) Used exclusively for the drilling of wells;\n(viii) Brought into the state for a period not to exceed seven (7) calendar days to demonstrate the operation of the mobile machinery to prospective buyers.","path":["TITLE 31 - MOTOR VEHICLES","CHAPTER 18 - COMMERCIAL VEHICLES","ARTICLE 2 - REGISTRATION, AUTHORITY AND PERMITS"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title31.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"232f4b86da400549d6968f02658760b339fc6567c60cd8d8fc286bafbadcacb5","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-31-18-203","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-31-18-205"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
