Stat. § 33-18-102","heading":"Records; book to be kept.","body":"(a) Every person engaged in the junk business as defined in W.S. 33-18-101, shall keep a book or dedicated computer software program in which all entries shall be written in a computer or in ink, in the English language and entered at the time of each and every transaction and in which the following information is recorded:\n(i) An accurate account and description of all junk metal or rubber goods purchased or sold;\n(ii) The name and residence of the person selling or buying the junk metal or rubber goods; and\n(iii) If the person is selling junk metal or rubber goods:\n(A) The license plate number of the person's vehicle, if applicable; or\n(B) Verification of the person's name and residence through presentation of the person's United States federal or state-issued photo identification.\n(b) Compliance with paragraph (iii) of subsection (a) of this section is optional for common household and personal items of less than fifty dollars ($50.00) market value.\n(c) No entry in such book or computer shall be erased, mutilated or changed.","path":["TITLE 33 - PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS","CHAPTER 18 - JUNK DEALERS"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title33.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"9c0c76b620021a18183fdcfa31e6f78cf5ce31d29b9686a5305f92c15b3472b1","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-33-18-101","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-33-18-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
