Stat. § 33-23-115","heading":"Penalty; injunction; civil penalty; jury trial.","body":"(a) Any person who violates any provision of this act is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined not more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) or imprisoned not more than six (6) months in the county jail, or both.\n(b) Any person aggrieved by a violation of this act, the Wyoming state board of examiners of optometry, the attorney general or the district or county attorney may institute suit in the county in which a violation of this act occurred to require enforcement by injunctive procedures and to recover a civil penalty not to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) per violation, plus costs.\n(c) Where a civil penalty is sought the defendant shall be entitled to a jury trial.","path":["TITLE 33 - PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS","CHAPTER 23 - OPTOMETRISTS"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title33.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"864f8fa6d6dbf8e3b874c63347829d6e54e8c1945f502509640d56aad1ded48f","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-33-23-114","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-33-23-116"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
