Stat. § 33-35-111","heading":"Scope of examination.","body":"(a) The qualifying examination provided in W.S. 33-35-108 shall be designed to demonstrate the applicant's technical qualifications by:\n(i) Tests of knowledge in the following areas as they pertain to the fitting and sale of hearing aids:\n(A) Basic physics of sound;\n(B) The anatomy and physiology of the ear;\n(C) The function of hearing aids;\n(D) Knowledge and understanding of the grounds for revocation, suspension or probation of a license;\n(E) Knowledge and understanding of criminal offenses associated with violations of this act.\n(ii) Practical tests of proficiency in the following techniques as they pertain to the fitting of hearing aids:\n(A) The procedures and use of equipment designed for the fitting of hearing aids;\n(B) Taking earmold impressions;\n(C) Measurement of hearing as it pertains to the fitting of hearing aids;\n(D) Recording and evaluation of audiograms and speech audiometry to determine proper selection and adaptation of a hearing aid.\n(iii) Evidence of knowledge regarding the medical and rehabilitation facilities for individuals with impaired hearing that are available in the area served.","path":["TITLE 33 - PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS","CHAPTER 35 - HEARING AID SPECIALIST LICENSURE"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title33.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"132e83b4fe9660ccaa671d6a306a56f1fdb712a6ff9b514a6364ee1b9aee9bb1","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-33-35-110","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-33-35-112"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
