Stat. § 33-37-102","heading":"Acceptable practices.","body":"(a) A licensed radiologic technologist may apply radiation to persons for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes under specific direction of a person licensed to prescribe the examinations or treatment.\n(b) A licensed radiologic technician may select technique, position patients, critique films and apply radiation to persons for diagnostic purposes under specific direction of a person licensed to prescribe the examinations. Restricted licenses shall state the procedures the radiologic technician may perform which shall not include more than three (3) body areas.\n(c) A license is not required for a student attending a school or college of medicine, osteopathy, podiatry, dentistry, dental hygiene, chiropractic or radiologic technology, who applies radiation to persons under the direct supervision of a person licensed to prescribe the examinations or treatments.\n(d) This act does not apply to:\n(i) Licensed practitioners as defined in W.S. 33-37-101(a)(iv);\n(ii) Allied dental health professionals and dental assistants solely because they expose radiographs for dental diagnosis; and\n(iii) Persons employed by or assisting licensed podiatrists and receiving education and training pursuant to W.S. 33-9-114.","path":["TITLE 33 - PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS","CHAPTER 37 - RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST LICENSING"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title33.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"7251aecfdc4772a7e2143526d003b2be74408fd1cdf0fc1634cc4ad8b08389b2","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-33-37-101","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-33-37-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
