Stat. § 34.1-9-105","heading":"Control of electronic chattel paper.","body":"(a) A secured party has control of electronic chattel paper if a system employed for evidencing the transfer of interest in the chattel paper reliably establishes the secured party as the person to which the chattel paper was assigned.\n(b) A system satisfies subsection (a) of this section if the record or records comprising the chattel paper are created, stored and assigned in such a manner that:\n(i) A single authoritative copy of the record or records exists which is unique, identifiable and, except as otherwise provided in paragraphs (iv), (v) and (vi), unalterable;\n(ii) The authoritative copy identifies the secured party as the assignee of the record or records;\n(iii) The authoritative copy is communicated to and maintained by the secured party or its designated custodian;\n(iv) Copies or amendments that add or change an identified assignee of the authoritative copy can be made only with the consent of the secured party;\n(v) Each copy of the authoritative copy and any copy of a copy is readily identifiable as a copy that is not the authoritative copy; and\n(vi) Any amendment of the authoritative copy is readily identifiable as authorized or unauthorized.","path":["TITLE 34.1 - UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE","ARTICLE 9 - SECURED TRANSACTIONS","PART 1 GENERAL PROVISIONS"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title34.1.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"a44ae8fbaf5442849e0c7ba3704ed448e95b589c0d9778190f73584ee73dce10","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-34.1-9-104","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-34.1-9-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
