Stat. § 34.1-9-309","heading":"Security interest perfected upon attachment.","body":"(a) The following security interests are perfected when they attach:\n(i) A purchase-money security interest in consumer goods, except as otherwise provided in section 34.1-9-311(b) with respect to consumer goods that are subject to a statute or treaty described in section 34.1-9-311(a);\n(ii) An assignment of accounts or payment intangibles which does not by itself or in conjunction with other assignments to the same assignee transfer a significant part of the assignor's outstanding accounts or payment intangibles;\n(iii) A sale of a payment intangible;\n(iv) A sale of a promissory note;\n(v) A security interest created by the assignment of a health-care-insurance receivable to the provider of the health-care goods or services;\n(vi) A security interest arising under section 34.1-2-401, 34.1-2-505, 34.1-2-711(c) or 34.1-2A-508(e), until the debtor obtains possession of the collateral;\n(vii) A security interest of a collecting bank arising under section 34.1-4-210;\n(viii) A security interest of an issuer or nominated person arising under section 34.1-5-118;\n(ix) A security interest arising in the delivery of a financial asset under section 34.1-9-206(c);\n(x) A security interest in investment property created by a broker or securities intermediary;\n(xi) A security interest in a commodity contract or a commodity account created by a commodity intermediary;\n(xii) An assignment for the benefit of all creditors of the transferor and subsequent transfers by the assignee thereunder; and\n(xiii) A security interest created by an assignment of a beneficial interest in a decedent's estate.","path":["TITLE 34.1 - UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE","ARTICLE 9 - SECURED TRANSACTIONS","PART 3 PERFECTION AND PRIORITY"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title34.1.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"d2b5d1e9f5c7f0f64132bdc7847474c2c9367335b499a9da30d78459f93b0a98","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-34.1-9-308","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-34.1-9-310"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
