Stat. § 34.1-9-310","heading":"When filing required to perfect security interest or agricultural lien; security interests and agricultural liens to which filing provisions do not apply.","body":"(a) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b) and section 34.1-9-312(b), a financing statement must be filed to perfect all security interests and agricultural liens.\n(b) The filing of a financing statement is not necessary to perfect a security interest:\n(i) That is perfected under section 34.1-9-308(d), (e), (f) or (g);\n(ii) That is perfected under section 34.1-9-309 when it attaches;\n(iii) In property subject to a statute, regulation, or treaty described in section 34.1-9-311(a);\n(iv) In goods in possession of a bailee which is perfected under section 34.1-9-312(d)(i) or (ii);\n(v) In certificated securities, documents, goods or instruments which is perfected without filing, control or possession under section 34.1-9-312(e), (f) or (g);\n(vi) In collateral in the secured party's possession under section 34.1-9-313;\n(vii) In a certificated security which is perfected by delivery of the security certificate to the secured party under section 34.1-9-313;\n(viii) In deposit accounts, electronic chattel paper, electronic documents, investment property or letter-of-credit rights which is perfected by control under section 34.1-9-314;\n(ix) In proceeds which is perfected under section 34.1-9-315; or\n(x) That is perfected under section 34.1-9-316.\n(c) If a secured party assigns a perfected security interest or agricultural lien, a filing under this article is not required to continue the perfected status of the security interest against creditors of and transferees from the original debtor.","path":["TITLE 34.1 - UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE","ARTICLE 9 - SECURED TRANSACTIONS","PART 3 PERFECTION AND PRIORITY"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title34.1.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"000aa422843ea8df427e49a2a3ba37420ed7d963bb8f0c20e217110c13ce4fde","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-34.1-9-309","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-34.1-9-311"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
