Stat. § 35-1-404","heading":"Duties of state registrar.","body":"(a) The state registrar shall:\n(i) Make, promulgate and enforce all necessary rules and regulations for carrying out the purpose of this act;\n(ii) Receive, index and statistically compile the returns of births, deaths, stillbirths, marriages and divorces from the entire state;\n(iii) Prescribe and distribute such forms as are required by this act and the rules and regulations issued hereunder;\n(iv) Direct, supervise and control the activities of local registrars and the activities of other local officials related to the operation of the vital records system and provide them with necessary postage;\n(v) Submit to the governor an annual report of the administration of this act;\n(vi) Keep a correct account of all fees received and turn the same over to the state treasurer as provided by law;\n(vii) Delegate such functions and duties vested in him to officers and employees of the office of vital records services and to the local registrars as he deems necessary or expedient;\n(viii) Investigate all of the cases of irregularity or violation of this act and any regulations.","path":["TITLE 35 - PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY","CHAPTER 1 - ADMINISTRATION","ARTICLE 4 - VITAL RECORDS"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title35.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"c88b6edc511ad9041b23a3dd7f8b2253da229943a52154708e66d93678ae3c7f","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-35-1-403","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-35-1-405"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
