Stat. § 35-10-409","heading":"Sale of metal beverage containers which are severable upon opening prohibited; penalty; definitions.","body":"(a) No person shall sell or offer for sale in this state any metal beverage container so designed and constructed that a nonbiodegradable part of the container is severed when the container is opened, with the following exceptions:\n(i) Metal beverage containers designed and constructed with biodegradable severed parts;\n(ii) Metal beverage containers sealed by pressure sensitive adhesive strips; and\n(iii) The manufacture of metal beverage containers with or without severable parts in this state for sale outside of Wyoming.\n(b) Any person violating this section is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00).\n(c) As used in this section, \"beverage\" means mineral waters, soda water, carbonated or noncarbonated soft drinks or alcoholic or malt beverages as defined in W.S. 12-1-101(a)(vii) and (x).","path":["TITLE 35 - PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY","CHAPTER 10 - CRIMES AND OFFENSES","ARTICLE 4 - MISCELLANEOUS OFFENSES"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title35.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"8ada5fe3f5fa5a71f822ed620dea70c303c12e1e8e09ec4aad20e6827bf255a0","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-35-10-408","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-35-11-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
