Stat. § 35-2-1506","heading":"Civil penalty for violations.","body":"(a) The department may impose a civil penalty on a facility if a facility fails to:\n(i) Respond to the department's notice to submit a corrective action plan within the timeframe specified by federal rules and regulations; or\n(ii) Comply with the requirements of a corrective action plan submitted to the department within the timeframe specified by federal rules and regulations.\n(b) A civil penalty imposed under subsection (a) of this section shall be:\n(i) For facilities categorized as critical access hospitals:\n(A) For a first offense within any twelve (12) month period, one hundred dollars ($100.00) per day for each day the department imposes a civil penalty under subsection (a) of this section;\n(B) For a second offense within any twelve (12) month period, five hundred dollars ($500.00) per day for each day the department imposes a civil penalty under subsection (a) of this section;\n(C) For a third or subsequent offense within any twelve (12) month period, one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per day for each day the department imposes a civil penalty under subsection (a) of this section.\n(ii) For hospitals with prospective payment systems, one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per day for each day within any twelve (12) month period the department imposes a civil penalty under subsection (a) of this section.","path":["TITLE 35 - PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY","CHAPTER 2 - HOSPITALS, HEALTH CARE FACILITIES AND HEALTH SERVICES","ARTICLE 15 - HOSPITAL PRICE TRANSPARENCY ACT"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title35.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"259c45af3b7b67fe975761b7cd3af979812e215fca3aff2b9546730cb0c1408f","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-35-2-1505","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-35-2-1507"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
