Stat. § 35-26-101","heading":"Automated external defibrillators; definitions.","body":"(a) As used in this article:\n(i) \"Automated external defibrillator (AED)\" means a medical device heart monitor and defibrillator that:\n(A) Has received approval of its premarket notification filed pursuant to U.S. Code, title 21, section 360(k) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration;\n(B) Is capable of recognizing the presence or absence of ventricular fibrillation or rapid ventricular tachycardia, and is capable of determining, without intervention by an operator, whether defibrillation should be performed; and\n(C) Upon determining that defibrillation should be performed, automatically charges and delivers, or requests delivery of, an electrical impulse to an individual's heart.","path":["TITLE 35 - PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY","CHAPTER 26 - AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATORS"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title35.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"60520fcdeb2a152872185c53a0b6c54dee33f3e695eee8b316d884f3c2e8b931","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-35-25-709","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-35-26-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
