Stat. § 35-7-1802","heading":"Definitions.","body":"(a) As used in this article:\n(i) \"Eligible patient\" means a person who has:\n(A) A terminal illness;\n(B) Considered all other treatment options currently approved by the United States food and drug administration;\n(C) Received a recommendation from a physician for an investigational drug, biological product or device;\n(D) Given written, informed consent for the use of the investigational drug, biological product or device or, if the patient is a minor or lacks the mental capacity to provide informed consent, a parent or legal guardian has given written informed consent on the patient's behalf; and\n(E) Documentation from a physician that the person meets the requirements of this paragraph.\n(ii) \"Investigational drug, biological product or device\" means a drug, biological product or device that has successfully completed phase one of a clinical trial but has not yet been approved for general use by the United States Food and Drug Administration and remains under investigation in a clinical trial;\n(iii) \"Terminal illness\" means a disease that, without life-sustaining procedures, will soon result in death or a state of permanent unconsciousness from which recovery is unlikely.","path":["TITLE 35 - PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY","CHAPTER 7 - FOOD AND DRUGS","ARTICLE 18 - RIGHT TO TRY ACT"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title35.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"8b5ef9a8b91116e2af467ca26f18226cb90ee53f0f041708b75eb3c04186c1d8","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-35-7-1801","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-35-7-1803"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
