Stat. § 4-10-1013","heading":"Protection of person dealing with fiduciary.","body":"(a) A person other than a beneficiary who in good faith assists a fiduciary, or who in good faith and for value deals with a fiduciary, without knowledge that the fiduciary is exceeding or improperly exercising the fiduciary's powers is protected from liability as if the fiduciary properly exercised the power.\n(b) A person other than a beneficiary who in good faith deals with a fiduciary is not required to inquire into the extent of the fiduciary's powers or the propriety of their exercise.\n(c) A person who in good faith delivers assets to a fiduciary need not ensure their proper application.\n(d) A person other than a beneficiary who in good faith assists a former fiduciary, or who in good faith and for value deals with a former fiduciary, without knowledge that the appointment has terminated is protected from liability as if the former fiduciary were still a fiduciary.\n(e) Comparable protective provisions of other laws relating to commercial transactions or transfer of securities by fiduciaries prevail over the protection provided by this section.","path":["TITLE 4 - TRUSTS","CHAPTER 10 - UNIFORM TRUST CODE","ARTICLE 10 - LIABILITY OF FIDUCIARIES AND RIGHTS OF PERSONS DEALING WITH FIDUCIARIE"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title04.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:31Z","sha256":"3279609921ce8ae81688bd1ff9705919a10b1bcf227a2f3124d838c41cc6f43e","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-4-10-1012","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-4-10-1014"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
