Stat. § 40-19-105","heading":"Inapplicability of other laws; exempt transactions.","body":"(a) Rental-purchase agreements as defined in this act are not governed by laws relating to:\n(i) Transactions governed under the Wyoming Uniform Consumer Credit Code; or\n(ii) \"Security interests\" as defined by W.S. 34.1-1-201(a)(xxxvii).\n(b) This act does not apply to the following:\n(i) Rental-purchase agreements primarily for business, commercial or agricultural purposes or those in which either party is a governmental agency or instrumentality;\n(ii) A lease or bailment of personal property which is incidental to the lease of real property and which provides that the consumer has no option to purchase the leased property.","path":["TITLE 40 - TRADE AND COMMERCE","CHAPTER 19 - CONSUMER RENTAL PURCHASE AGREEMENT ACT"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title40.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"34338fb4d39e3f1a673a549323ac62d9915cd84058d49d063fad544295d81d07","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-40-19-104","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-40-19-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
