Stat. § 6-2-712","heading":"Penalties for subsequent human trafficking convictions.","body":"(a) A person who is convicted of human trafficking under W.S. 6-2-702 or 6-2-703 shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than twenty-five (25) years or for life imprisonment without parole if:\n(i) The victim in the instant case was a minor;\n(ii) The person has one (1) or more previous convictions for a violation of W.S. 6-2-702, 6-2-703 or a criminal statute containing the same or similar elements as the crimes defined by W.S. 6-2-702 or 6-2-703 where the victim was a minor and which arose out of separate occurrences in this state or elsewhere; and\n(iii) The convictions were for offenses committed after the person reached eighteen (18) years of age.","path":["TITLE 6 - CRIMES AND OFFENSES","CHAPTER 2 - OFFENSES AGAINST THE PERSON","ARTICLE 7 - HUMAN TRAFFICKING"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title06.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"863f3cbbc1426a401214edefff55210c5fdab563fe0c30cfaaf0297e38e1b331","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-6-2-711","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-6-3-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
