Stat. § 6-5-202","heading":"Accessory after the fact; penalties.","body":"(a) A person is an accessory after the fact if, with intent to hinder, delay or prevent the discovery, detection, apprehension, prosecution, detention, conviction or punishment of another for the commission of a crime, he renders assistance to the person.\n(b) An accessory after the fact commits:\n(i) A felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than three (3) years, a fine of not more than three thousand dollars ($3,000.00), or both, if the crime is a felony and the person acting as an accessory is not a relative of the person committing the crime;\n(ii) A misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than six (6) months, a fine of not more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00), or both, if:\n(A) The crime is a felony and the person acting as an accessory is a relative of the person committing the crime;\n(B) The crime is a misdemeanor and the person acting as an accessory is not a relative of the person committing the crime; or\n(C) The principal is a minor.\n(iii) No violation if the crime is a misdemeanor and the person acting as an accessory is a relative of the person committing the crime.","path":["TITLE 6 - CRIMES AND OFFENSES","CHAPTER 5 - OFFENSES AGAINST PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION","ARTICLE 2 - HINDERING GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title06.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"45d1c4ad868828e0d2d5b0c81e9e8695db5199a1d683123442a56d976e8b16ac","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-6-5-201","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-6-5-203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
