Stat. § 9-3-439","heading":"General duties of trustee and fiduciary.","body":"(a) A trustee or other fiduciary shall discharge duties with respect to a retirement system:\n(i) Solely in the interest of the participants and beneficiaries;\n(ii) For the exclusive purpose of providing benefits to participants and beneficiaries and paying reasonable expenses of administering the system;\n(iii) With the care, skill and caution under the circumstances then prevailing which a prudent person acting in a like capacity and familiar with those matters would use in the conduct of an activity of like character and purpose;\n(iv) Impartially, taking into account any differing interests of participants and beneficiaries;\n(v) Incurring only costs that are appropriate and reasonable; and\n(vi) In accordance with a good-faith interpretation of the law governing the retirement program and system.","path":["TITLE 9 - ADMINISTRATION OF THE GOVERNMEN","CHAPTER 3 - COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS","ARTICLE 4 - RETIREMENT"],"source_url":"https://wyoleg.gov/statutes/compress/title09.pdf","current_through":"2026 Budget Session; as of 2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T00:16:32Z","sha256":"8246b172f8fec4da12e800a1005cfe9d66992f259c5568d4a9878f70571059d0","source_id":"us-wy","stale":false,"prev":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-9-3-438","next":"us-wy/wyo.-stat.-9-3-440"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
