{"data":{"id":"us/10-cfr-1005.11","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"10 CFR 1005.11","heading":"What are the Secretary's obligations in interstate situations?","body":"(a) The Secretary is responsible for:\n(1) Identifying proposed federal financial assistance and direct federal development that have an impact on interstate areas;\n(2) Notifying appropriate officials and entities in states which have adopted a process and which select the Department's program or activity;\n(3) Making efforts to identify and notify the affected state, areawide, regional, and local officials and entities in those states that have not adopted a process under the Order or do not select the Department's program or activity;\n(4) Responding pursuant to § 1005.10 of this part if the Secretary receives a recommendation from a designated areawide agency transmitted by a single point of contact, in cases in which the review, coordination, and communication with the Department have been delegated.\n(b) The Secretary uses the procedures in § 1005.10 if a state process provides a state process recommendation to the Department through a single point of contact.","path":["Title 10—Energy","CHAPTER X—DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY (GENERAL PROVISIONS)","PART 1005—INTERGOVERNMENTAL REVIEW OF DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-10.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:24:09Z","sha256":"33b793278ea79ea7170668ebeadc2e33b6bfc3333a7d141b347a8e48a01a942c","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/10-cfr-1005.10","next":"us/10-cfr-1005.12"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
