{"data":{"id":"us/10-cfr-2.1500","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"10 CFR 2.1500","heading":"Purpose and scope.","body":"The purpose of this subpart is to provide for simplified, legislative hearing procedures to be used, at the Commission's sole discretion, in:\n(a) Any design certification rulemaking hearings under subpart B of part 52 or under subpart H of part 53 of this chapter that the Commission may choose to conduct; and\n(b) Developing a record to assist the Commission in resolving, under § 2.335(d), a petition filed under § 2.335(b).\n(c) This subpart shall cease to have effect on January 8, 2027, unless the NRC determines that the cessation deadline should be extended to a date not more than 5 years in the future after offering the public an opportunity to provide input on the costs and benefits of this subpart and considering that input.
