{"data":{"id":"us/10-cfr-35.18","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"10 CFR 35.18","heading":"License issuance.","body":"(a) The Commission shall issue a license for the medical use of byproduct material if—\n(1) The applicant has filed NRC Form 313 “Application for Material License” in accordance with the instructions in § 35.12;\n(2) The applicant has paid any applicable fee as provided in Part 170 of this chapter;\n(3) The Commission finds the applicant equipped and committed to observe the safety standards established by the Commission in this Chapter for the protection of the public health and safety; and\n(4) The applicant meets the requirements of Part 30 of this chapter.\n(b) The Commission shall issue a license for mobile medical service if the applicant:\n(1) Meets the requirements in paragraph (a) of this section; and\n(2) Assures that individuals or human research subjects to whom unsealed byproduct material or radiation from implants containing byproduct material will be administered may be released following treatment in accordance with § 35.75.","path":["Title 10—Energy","CHAPTER I—NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION","PART 35—MEDICAL USE OF BYPRODUCT MATERIAL","Subpart A—General Information"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-10.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:24:09Z","sha256":"ff1521769a3d2b523ef4335647a0641d5da8df82e56e199fb8ecb9ef4142ec09","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/10-cfr-35.15","next":"us/10-cfr-35.19"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
