{"data":{"id":"us/10-cfr-824.3","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"10 CFR 824.3","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this part:\nAct means the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 (42 U.S.C. 2011 et seq.).\nAdministrator means the Administrator of the National Nuclear Security Administration.\nClassified information means Restricted Data and Formerly Restricted Data protected against unauthorized disclosure pursuant to the Act and National Security Information that has been determined pursuant to Executive Order 12958, as amended March 25, 2003, or any predecessor or successor executive order to require protection against unauthorized disclosure and that is marked to indicate its classified status when in documentary form.\nDOE means the United States Department of Energy, including the National Nuclear Security Administration.\nDirector means the DOE Official, or his or her designee, to whom the Secretary has assigned responsibility for enforcement of this part.\nPerson means any person as defined in section 11.s. of the Act, 42 U.S.C. 2014, and includes any affiliate or parent corporation thereof, who enters into a contract or agreement with DOE, or is a party to a contract or subcontract under a contract or agreement with DOE.\nSecretary means the Secretary of Energy.","path":["Title 10—Energy","CHAPTER III—DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY","PART 824—PROCEDURAL RULES FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF CIVIL PENALTIES FOR CLASSIFIED INFORMATION SECURITY VIOLATIONS"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-10.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:24:09Z","sha256":"61e9bba1dbb07c85aa0f52d95510ce24b000e93c475c1a3472f86d8a012527ed","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/10-cfr-824.2","next":"us/10-cfr-824.4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
