{"data":{"id":"us/10-cfr-851.34","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"10 CFR 851.34","heading":"Requests for conferences.","body":"(a) Within the time allotted by a notice of the filling of an application, any affected contractor or worker may file with the EHSS Director a request for a conference on the application for a variance.\n(b) A request for a conference filed pursuant to paragraph (a) of this section must include:\n(1) A concise statement explaining how the contractor or worker would be affected by the variance applied for, including relevant facts;\n(2) A specification of any statement or representation in the application which is denied, and a concise summary of the evidence that would be adduced in support of each denial; and\n(3) Any other views or arguments on any issue of fact or law presented.\n(c) The EHSS Director, or designee, must respond to a request within fifteen days and, if the request is granted, indicate the time and place of the conference and the DOE participants in the conference.","path":["Title 10—Energy","CHAPTER III—DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY","PART 851—WORKER SAFETY AND HEALTH PROGRAM","Subpart D—Variances"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-10.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:24:09Z","sha256":"b50bd8abe0da448e4a69d6c7ffbeeeb21a1f454de3fde640b869512b76d1fbb2","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/10-cfr-851.33","next":"us/10-cfr-851.40"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
