{"data":{"id":"us/13-cfr-126.105","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"13 CFR 126.105","heading":"How often will the HUBZone Map be updated?","body":"The HUBZone Map will be updated as follows:\n(a) Qualified Census Tracts and Qualified Non-Metropolitan Counties will be updated every 5 years.\n(b) Redesignated Areas will be added to the HUBZone Map when areas cease to be designated as Qualified Census Tracts or Qualified Non-Metropolitan Counties, in accordance with the 5-year cycle described in paragraph (a) of this section, and will be removed after 3 years.\n(c) Qualified Base Closure Areas will be added to the HUBZone Map after SBA receives information from the Department of Defense that a new base closure area has been created and will be removed after 8 years.\n(d) Qualified Disaster Areas generally will be added to the HUBZone Map on a monthly basis, based on data received by SBA from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and generally will be removed on the effective date of the 5-year HUBZone Map update following the declaration.\n(e) Governor-Designated Covered Areas will be added to the HUBZone Map after SBA approves a petition in accordance with § 126.104 and will be removed on the effective date of the 5-year HUBZone Map update following the approval, or one year after the petition is approved, whichever is later.","path":["Title 13—Business Credit and Assistance","CHAPTER I—SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION","PART 126—HUBZONE PROGRAM","Subpart A—Provisions of General Applicability"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-13.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:24:18Z","sha256":"4946fb69656ee291aeb6a944a29af637baec937f89168e7a4da6250a6b495eea","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/13-cfr-126.104","next":"us/13-cfr-126.200"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
