{"data":{"id":"us/14-cfr-25.779","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"14 CFR 25.779","heading":"Motion and effect of cockpit controls.","body":"Cockpit controls must be designed so that they operate in accordance with the following movement and actuation:\n(a) Aerodynamic controls:\n(1) Primary.\nControls Motion and effect\nAileron Right (clockwise) for right wing down.\nElevator Rearward for nose up.\nRudder Right pedal forward for nose right.\n(2) Secondary.\nControls Motion and effect\nFlaps (or auxiliary lift devices) Forward for flaps up; rearward for flaps down.\nTrim tabs (or equivalent) Rotate to produce similar rotation of the airplane about an axis parallel to the axis of the control.\n(b) Powerplant and auxiliary controls:\n(1) Powerplant.\nControls Motion and effect\nPower or thrust Forward to increase forward thrust and rearward to increase rearward thrust.\nPropellers Forward to increase rpm.\nMixture Forward or upward for rich.\nCarburetor air heat Forward or upward for cold.\nSupercharger Forward or upward for low blower.
