{"data":{"id":"us/20-cfr-416.2208","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"20 CFR 416.2208","heading":"Requirements for payment.","body":"(a) The State VR agency must file a claim for payment in each individual case within the time periods specified in § 416.2216;\n(b) The claim for payment must be in a form prescribed by us and contain the following information:\n(1) A description of each service provided;\n(2) When the service was provided; and\n(3) The cost of the service;\n(c) The VR services for which payment is being requested must have been provided during the period specified in § 416.2215;\n(d) The VR services for which payment is being requested must have been provided under a State plan for VR services approved under title I of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, and must be services that are described in § 416.2214;\n(e) The individual must meet one of the VR payment provisions specified in § 416.2201;\n(f) The State VR agency must maintain, and provide as we may require, adequate documentation of all services and costs for all disabled or blind recipients with respect to whom a State VR agency could potentially request payment for services and costs under this subpart; and\n(g) The amount to be paid must be reasonable and necessary and be in compliance with the cost guidelines specified in § 416.2217.","path":["Title 20—Employees' Benefits","CHAPTER III—SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION","PART 416—SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY INCOME FOR THE AGED, BLIND, AND DISABLED","Subpart V—Payments for Vocational Rehabilitation Services"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-20.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:24:45Z","sha256":"4d7fb60021b629ef8dbef69327f9ca747c7a3f0234dbe7f64cd7e691a99d3599","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/20-cfr-416.2206","next":"us/20-cfr-416.2209"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
