The ADI for total residue of tetracyclines including chlortetracycline, oxytetracycline, and tetracycline is 25 µg/kg of body weight per day.\n(b) Tolerances. The tolerances for the sum of tetracycline residues are:\n(1) Cattle. (i) Liver: 6 ppm.\n(ii) Kidney and fat: 12 ppm.\n(iii) Muscle: 2 ppm.\n(2) Chickens, turkeys, and ducks. (i) Liver: 6 ppm.\n(ii) Kidney and fat: 12 ppm.\n(iii) Muscle: 2 ppm.\n(iv) Eggs: 0.4 ppm for chlortetracycline only.\n(3) Sheep. (i) Liver: 6 ppm.\n(ii) Kidney and fat: 12 ppm.\n(iii) Muscle: 2 ppm.\n(4) Swine. (i) Liver: 6 ppm.\n(ii) Kidney and fat: 12 ppm.\n(iii) Muscle: 2 ppm.\n(c) Related conditions of use.
