{"data":{"id":"us/22-cfr-313.5","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"22 CFR 313.5","heading":"Procedures for guidance documents identified as “significant.”","body":"(a) Whenever a guidance document is proposed to be issued by the Agency, a copy of the proposed guidance document will be reviewed by the Office of the General Counsel and provided to OMB/OIRA for a “significance” determination pursuant to Executive Order 12866.\n(b) Following review and an affirmative “significance” determination by OMB/OIRA pursuant to Executive Order 12866, the guidance document will be reviewed by the Senior Policy Committee which may recommend that it be approved by the Director for issuance as a “significant” guidance document and the Agency may issue the guidance following approval by the Director.\n(c) If the guidance document is determined by OMB/OIRA not to be “significant” within the meaning of § 313.4, the Agency or office within the Agency may proceed to issue the guidance.","path":["Title 22—Foreign Relations","CHAPTER III—PEACE CORPS","PART 313—GUIDANCE PROCEDURES"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-22.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:24:49Z","sha256":"69073831f54c248ed0b86f66513da75ce7b9f6a3a70e0137036123cd0d245806","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/22-cfr-313.4","next":"us/22-cfr-313.6"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
