{"data":{"id":"us/27-cfr-19.599","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"27 CFR 19.599","heading":"Bottling and packaging records.","body":"A proprietor who bottles or packages spirits must prepare a “bottling and packaging” record for each lot of spirits bottled or packaged. The bottling and packaging record must contain the following information:\n(a) Bottling tank number;\n(b) Serial number of the record (which must commence with “1” at the start of each calendar or fiscal year, or be a unique identifying number that is not repeated);\n(c) Formula number (if any) under which the batch was produced;\n(d) Serial number of the dump/batch record from which the spirits were received;\n(e) Kind of distilled spirits product (including age, if claimed);\n(f) Details of the tank gauge (including proof, wine gallons, proof gallons, and, if applicable, obscuration);\n(g) The date the bottles or packages were filled;\n(h) The size of the bottles or packages filled, the number of bottles per case, and the number of cases or packages filled;\n(i) Serial numbers by brand name of the cases or other containers filled;\n(j) Proof of the spirits bottled or packaged (if different from the proof recorded under paragraph (f) of this section);\n(k) Total quantity bottled, packaged, or otherwise disposed of in bulk;\n(l) Losses or gains of the distilled spirits product; and\n(m) If labeled as bottled in bond, a statement to that effect.","path":["Title 27—Alcohol, Tobacco Products and Firearms","CHAPTER I—ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO TAX AND TRADE BUREAU, DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY","SUBCHAPTER A—ALCOHOL","PART 19—DISTILLED SPIRITS PLANTS","Subpart V—Records and Reports"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-27.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:25:11Z","sha256":"91ed8a04562f0d197f751acca58ae2cf5d748f1b5fb6b3b0ac4fe15d232f60f3","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/27-cfr-19.598","next":"us/27-cfr-19.600"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
