To every 100 gallons of alcohol add:\nTen pounds of any one, or a total of 10 pounds of two or more, of the oils and substances listed below:\nAlpha terpineol\nAnethole, N.F.\nAnise oil, N.F.\nBay oil (myrcia oil), N.F. XI.\nBenzaldehyde, N.F.\nBergamot oil, N.F. XI.\nBitter almond oil, N.F. X.\nCamphor, U.S.P.\nCedar leaf oil, U.S.P. XIII.\nChlorothymol, N.F. XII.\nCinnamic aldehyde, N.F. IX.\nCinnamon oil, N.F.\nCitronella oil, natural.\nClove oil, N.F.\nCoal tar, U.S.P.\nCornmint oil.\nDistilled lime oil.\nEucalyptol, N.F. XII.\nEucalyptus oil, N.F.\nEugenol, U.S.P.\nGuaiacol, N.F. X.\nL(-)-Carvone.\nLavender oil, N.F.\nLemon oil.\nMenthol, U.S.P.\nMethyl salicylate, N.F.\nMustard oil, volatile (allyl isothiocyanate), U.S.P. XII.\nPeppermint oil, N.F.\nPeppermint oil, terpeneless.\nPhenol, U.S.P.\nPhenyl salicylate (salol), N.F. XI.\nPine oil, N.F. XII.\nPine needle oil, dwarf, N.F.\nRosemary oil, N.F. XII.\nSafrole.\nSassafras oil, N.F. XI.\nSpearmint oil, N.F.\nSpearmint oil, terpeneless.\nSpike lavender oil, natural.\nStorax, U.S.P.\nThyme oil, N.F. XII.\nThymol, N.F.\nTolu balsam, U.S.P.\nTurpentine oil, N.F. XI.\nIf it is shown that none of the above single denaturants or combinations can be used in the manufacture of a particular product, the user may submit an application to the appropriate TTB officer, requesting permission to use another essential oil or substance having denaturing properties satisfactory to the appropriate TTB officer. In such a case the user shall furnish the appropriate TTB officer, with specifications, assay methods, the name and address of the manufacturer, and an 8-ounce sample of the denaturant for analysis.\n(b) Authorized uses. (1) As a solvent:\n111. Hair and scalp preparations.\n112. Bay rum.\n113. Lotions and creams (hand, face, and body).\n114. Deodorants (body).\n121. Perfumes and perfume tinctures.\n122. Toilet waters and colognes.\n131. Dentifrices.\n132. Mouth washes.\n141. Shampoos.\n142. Soap and bath preparations.\n210. External pharmaceuticals, not U.S.P. or N.F.\n243. Liniments, U.S.P. or N.F.\n244. Antiseptic solutions, U.S.P. or N.F.\n249. Miscellaneous external pharmaceuticals, U.S.P. or N.F.\n349. Miscellaneous drug processing (including manufacture of pills).\n410. Disinfectants, insecticides, fungicides, and other biocides.\n430. Sterilizing and preserving solutions.\n470. Theater sprays, incense, and room deodorants.\n(2) Miscellaneous uses:\n812.
