{"data":{"id":"us/28-cfr-30.11","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"28 CFR 30.11","heading":"What are the Attorney General's obligations in interstate situations?","body":"(a) The Attorney General is responsible for:\n(1) Identifying proposed federal financial assistance and direct federal development that have an impact on interstate areas;\n(2) Notifying appropriate officials and entities in states which have adopted a process and which select the Department's program or activity;\n(3) Making efforts to identify and notify the affected state, areawide, regional, and local officials and entities in those states that have not adopted a process under the Order or do not select the Department's program or activity; and\n(4) Responding pursuant to § 30.10 if the Attorney General receives a recommendation from a designated areawide agency transmitted by a single point of contact in cases in which the review, coordination, and communication with the Department have been delegated.\n(b) The Attorney General uses the procedures in § 30.10 if a state process provides a state process recommendation to the Department through a single point of contact.","path":["Title 28—Judicial Administration","CHAPTER I—DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE","PART 30—INTERGOVERNMENTAL REVIEW OF DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-28.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:25:14Z","sha256":"5c77ed9d86f1e046d1c6ef45505e2bbc8f1bf000338961f08b104a251168cb5c","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/28-cfr-30.10","next":"us/28-cfr-30.12"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
