{"data":{"id":"us/36-cfr-1004.11","jurisdiction":"us","citation":"36 CFR 1004.11","heading":"Load, weight and size limits.","body":"(a) Vehicle load, weight and size limits established by State law apply to a vehicle operated on a Presidio Trust road. However, the Board may designate more restrictive limits when appropriate for traffic safety or protection of the road surface. The Board may require a permit and establish conditions for the operation of a vehicle exceeding designated limits.\n(b) The following are prohibited:\n(1) Operating a vehicle that exceeds a load, weight or size limit designated by the Board.\n(2) Failing to obtain a permit when required.\n(3) Violating a term or condition of a permit.\n(4) Operating a motor vehicle with an auxiliary detachable side mirror that extends more than 10 inches beyond the side fender line except when the motor vehicle is towing a second vehicle.\n(c) Violating a term or condition of a permit may also result in the suspension or revocation of the permit by the Executive Director.","path":["Title 36—Parks, Forests, and Public Property","CHAPTER X—PRESIDIO TRUST","PART 1004—VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC SAFETY"],"source_url":"https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-08-25/title-36.xml","current_through":"2026-08-25","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:25:44Z","sha256":"18530e35c4d707a68ca6642d529b3d50685fbe9b241931789e55d8486004cd25","source_id":"us-cfr","stale":true,"prev":"us/36-cfr-1004.10","next":"us/36-cfr-1004.12"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
